Hi, I’m Lika and I’m a third-year Architecture student. I joined UNITE in hopes to inspire conversation and empathy between the many different individuals and perspectives here at IIT.   The lack of empathy seen every day in the world and news has encouraged me to think more about how I can develop these skills and apply them every day.  Specifically, I’d like to help students engage in discussions about identity and perception. A second goal I have is to create a welcoming environment for mixed-race people like myself.
