Hello! My name is Hailey Thomas-Turner, and I am a second year biomedical engineering student. I am very passionate about epidemiology, specifically the spread of pandemics in impoverished areas, and I hope to work in the biostatistics career field. After completing a podcast for UNITE, I realized that UNITE stood for the most important deficit that I saw on IIT’s campus: empathy. Because, without empathy, we neglect the very things that make each of us unique and special.
